4th of June. Leaving Delfzijl, heading for Brünsbüttel, the entrance of the Kieler Kanal

The first stop in Sweden was Skillinge

Life on board has become pretty luxurious since we can dine outside at a table. The way up to Sweden we had company of Jurjen and Maarten, two able seamen

In Sweden the crew changed: Jurjen and Maarten went back home, Ingegerd joined us from Norrköping |

From Sweden we sailed to the Estonian Isle Hiiumaa

From Estonia we went to Helsinki

In Helsinki Ingegerd went back home to Sweden with a ferry and we went back to Estonia, to Tallinn where we picked up our friends Rob and Janneke from the airport
We left Tallinn Sunday the 26th and sailed via Vergi (last port of call before the russian border) to Saint Petersburg

Wednesday June the 29th, the palace square in Saint Petersburg

We stayed at the River Yacht Club. next to an extravagant yacht, owned by an oilbaron. It had its own crew of course and it consumed 1000 litres of diesel per hour...

At the Nevsky Prospekt stood the former Dutch Church. Now it is an Art and Music centre but in one room the board of the Dutch foundation "Friends of Saint Petersburg" is settled.
We brought over a hundred Dutch books from Holland for their libary

Sunday July 3th, the Dutch Navy held a service in the former Dutch Church and afterwards we visited the Russian Orthodox Church at the Nevsty Prospekt.

We visited Peter's Garden (Pedrodvoret) and were very impressed by all the excessive golden sculptures. The Hermitage museum was unbelievable but very very crowdy.
We joined the Dutch navy on a bustour through the city and saw all the highlights.

July 3th in the evening we left Saint Petersburg and sailed in 2 days and 2 nights back to Haapsalu in Estonia where we sat on the same bench as in 2002, the monument for the Russian composerTchaikovky, who composed his 6th symphony here.
In Haapsalu Rob and Janneke left and we continued our trip south bound to Pärnu.

12th of July we were in Riga. The last month, temperature were above 30 degrees Celcius and we were glad it was a little bit cloudy at Letvia

In Riga it was till warm enough to dry our laundry. In the mean time we went with our dinghy exploring the canals |

From Riga on the winds were not as favourable as we wished to be, The next trip heading South we had to change course. Leaving the Gulf of Riga we stopped at Möntu (Estonian Isle Saarema) because it was too difficult to entre the Baltic Sea with the strong wind ahead. In the evening the wind layed down and the next morning we went with a beautiful wind along the coast of Letvia to Liepaja |

In Liepaja we took the bus to Kuldiga to join a festival which was very nice

Our ship was a very often used background for photo's. Many tourists liked to stand like Anne, holding our ship whilest somebody took several photo's.
From Liepaja we sailed to Poland (Wladyslawowo). We followed the Polish coast, stayed at Utska, Kolobrzeg and Swienoujscie.

We passed Rügen, had to change course again because of the strong South West wind and stayed one night in Denmark (Gedser).
We passed the Kieler Kanal July the 28th and went to Helgoland

In Helgoland we bought taxfree whisky and diesel and with a very nice Norht West wind we sailed to the German Isles

We anchored under the German Isle Juist and finaly, Friday 29th, we sailed the Eems again and arrived in Delfzijl around noon.

Back home again, proudly presenting all the flags from the countries we visited..
